Introduction
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve applications in scope.
Instill technical excellence by mentoring and training younger team members on design techniques and coding standards.
Assist the architects and team leads to develop solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
Collaborate with other team members within an agile organization.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Java Developer, you will be in charge with the development/maintenance of a portfolio of banking applications that cover a diverse technological landscape (Java, Oracle, Angular, IBM Cloud) for the insurance domain of a multinational banking company.
Required technical and professional expertise
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in technical leadership, leading project teams, and setting technical direction
Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable solution architectures.
Experience writing software in Java (using Spring boot, Spring batch, JPA/hibernate, REST services, Kafka).
Experience writing Front-end components using Angular.
Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Artifactory or similar.
Ability to speak and write in French fluently.
Preferred technical and professional experience
Familiarity with Legacy Systems: Experience with Legacy Platform Integration, including knowledge of integrating legacy systems with modern web technologies and Java-based applications.
Knowledge of Clustering Architectures: Understanding of Clustering Architectures, including experience with designing and implementing scalable and highly available systems.
Exposure to Multiple Application Servers: Experience working with multiple Application Servers, such as WebLogic and WebSphere, including knowledge of their strengths and weaknesses.
