Resumen
Ensure accurate recording, control, and timely payment of financial obligations to domestic and international suppliers, complying with internal policies, tax regulations, and financial controls applicable to the maquiladora/manufacturing industry.
Responsabilidades
Main Responsibilities:
Review, validate, and record supplier invoices in the accounting system.
Verify invoices comply with tax requirements (electronic invoices, payment complements, customs documentation when applicable).
Perform three-way match (Purchase Order, Receiving Report, Invoice).
Prepare weekly/bi-weekly payment proposals.
Schedule payments according to agreed terms and conditions.
Monitor and control supplier advances.
Manage accounts payable in foreign currency and record exchange rate fluctuations.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Support month-end closing activities.
Maintain accurate physical and electronic documentation files.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with Mexican tax regulations and IMMEX program requirements when applicable.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience:
2–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
Experience in manufacturing or maquiladora environment preferred.
Knowledge of IMMEX operations (preferred).
Technical Skills:
General accounting knowledge.
Understanding of Mexican tax regulations.
ERP systems experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Experience handling foreign vendors and currency transactions.
