MGQ, Inc Dump Truck Driver - Local Routes in Tiffin, Ohio
The dump truck driver at MGQ delivers final product to the customer and/or jobsite as directed. Primary Accountabilities (Essential duties but not limited to) • Conduct daily maintenance check of truck and complete the required log sheet and/or daily inspection sheet. • Keep truck clean of debris and report any issues. • Maintain constant deliveries to customer to ensure adequate supply on hand. • Follow company policies, all safety rules and MSHA regulations. In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individual may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary accountability satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. • Demonstrated ability to operate the semi-truck properly and safely in all weather conditions. • Basic mechanical knowledge of dump truck. • Ability to use air/hand tools as needed. • Conduct and/or assist in minor repairs and/or plant repairs, including plant clean up as needed. • Task trained to operate other equipment as needed (i.e. loader, dump truck, skytrak, bobcat, backhoe, etc.) • General knowledge of plant operations and procedures. • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customer personnel as related to load out issues. • Demonstrate ability to communicate and interact with other team members in a positive manner. • Ability to conduct basic mathematic calculations. Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below) Degree: High School Diploma Years of Experience: 6 Months Area: Logistics/Transportation Licenses / Certifications Class A or B CDL required Physical Requirements (Approximate time spent to be included in physical demands such as walking, or bending, specific lifting requirements (lbs) and/or other requirements such as vision or hearing. Most of the time spent sitting and walking. May be situations which require up to 40 pounds of lifting. Must be able to bend periodically. Must be able to see and hear. Work Conditions Environment: Road Travel Travel: 80% Special Work Conditions: Driving in inclement weather, sometimes work outdoors and subject to weather conditions
