This is your chance to contribute directly to the safe, responsible, and sustainable development of mining projects across Canada. As a Junior to Intermediate Geotechnical / Mine Waste Engineer , you will support meaningful work that shapes communities, environments, and the world around us.
Posting locations: Mississauga, Ottawa, Thunder Bay .
Your Impact
Conduct geotechnical site investigation fieldwork to support mine development and closure planning.
Interpret field and laboratory data to inform engineering recommendations.
Perform stability, seepage, and liquefaction analyses for tailings and mine waste facilities.
Contribute to designs and operational assessments for tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, and water management systems.
Support development and execution of mine waste management plans.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of mine waste systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
Prepare or contribute to technical reports, design documentation, and engineering deliverables.
Collaborate with geologists, environmental scientists, water resources engineers, and project managers on multidisciplinary projects.
Provide technical input through all project phases, from planning to construction monitoring.
The Skills That Set You Apart
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering (or equivalent).
0–3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical or mine waste engineering.
Knowledge of geotechnical principles, dam safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
Proficiency with geotechnical modelling tools (e.g., GeoStudio suite).
Eligibility for or registration as a P.Eng.
Experience with tailings or hydro dam design considered an asset.
Familiarity with environmental permitting and regulatory frameworks.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Master’s degree considered an asset.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $73,400 – $97,200
MB & ON: $67,000 – $90,000
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $62,400 – $84,000
