Aerotek Senior Maintenance Technician in Thornton, Colorado
Maintenance Technician
Schedule: Mon–Thu, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM | Overtime Fridays as needed
Pay: $35-45/hr, depending on experience
Environment: High‑volume manufacturing
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician leads complex repairs and optimization of critical production equipment in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role requires advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC troubleshooting skills, a strong focus on safety and uptime, and the ability to mentor junior technicians while partnering with Production, Quality, Engineering, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead major repairs, rebuilds, and troubleshooting of mixers, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, electrical panels, and automated packaging equipment
Perform advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC diagnostics with strong root cause analysis
Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs (oil analysis, vibration trending)
Minimize downtime through strategic planning and collaboration with production teams
Maintain accurate maintenance records in Limble CMMS
Mentor and train junior maintenance technicians
Coordinate with vendors on specialized repairs and equipment upgrades
Ensure compliance with safety programs, including LOTO, OSHA, and EPA standards
Required Qualifications
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and troubleshooting skills
PLC troubleshooting experience
Experience with CMMS (Limble preferred)
Strong safety mindset and leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in chemical processing or abrasive material environments
Lean maintenance, TPM, or Six Sigma experience
Certifications in hydraulics, PLCs, predictive maintenance, or OSHA 10
