Industrial Construct Project Manager II in Thornton, Colorado

FLSA Status:

Full Time / Exempt

Compensation: $90,000 - $115,000 / Annually dependent on experience.

The Opportunity

At Industrial Constructors/Managers (ICM), we build the backbone of American industry. With more than 40 years of award-winning industrial construction experience, we're seeking a driven and capable Project Manager II to lead complex industrial projects ranging from $1M--$10M.

 

As our Project Manager II, you'll take full ownership of planning, execution, financial performance, and client satisfaction. You'll guide teams across multiple disciplines, ensuring every project delivers on ICM's promises of safety, quality, and on-time performance.

What You'll Do

·      Lead all phases of project execution from pre-construction through closeout.

·      Champion and enforce ICM's zero-injury safety culture on every project.

·      Manage project setup, submittals, RFIs, and document control.

·      Build and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets using Primavera P6.

·      Oversee subcontractor and vendor performance, compliance, and quality.

·      Lead project kickoff, coordination, and progress meetings.

·      Provide mentorship and direction to PM I and Assistant PM team members.

·      Manage project financials including forecasting, billing, cost tracking, and pay applications.

·      Identify and mitigate cost, schedule, manpower, and scope risks.

·      Drive accurate and timely project closeout.

Estimating & Change Management

  • Prepare and review estimates using WinEst.
  • Develop proposals, clarifications, and scope summaries.
  • Evaluate subcontractor/vendor bids.
  • Manage Request for Change (RFC) documentation and approvals.
  • Review and approve cost updates in ComputerEase.

Contract Review & Risk Management

  • Interpret contract terms, insurance requirements, and bonding details.
  • Identify risk areas and communicate them to leadership.
  • Participate in client and subcontractor contract negotiations.

What You'll Bring

·      Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 3--7 years of progressive industrial project management experience.

·      Skills & Attributes: Advanced knowledge of industrial construction means and methods. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.

·      Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in Primavera P6, WinEst, ComputerEase, and Microsoft Office Suite.
