Northern Tier Seed Company Assistant Operations Manager (Agriculture) in Thompson, North Dakota
We are seeking a proactive and hands on Assistant Manager to support daily operations, lead a crew, and ensure high productivity and quality in our soybean/wheat production.
Duties include:
- supporting the manager in planning and executing day to day operations.
- oversee tasks dealing with soybeans/wheat such as grading, packing, sorting and storing.
- loading trucks
- performing maintenance and repairs on machinery/equipment
- guiding small crews to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and according to safety standards
Softare skills - familiarity with microsoft office and/or farm management software (willing to train)
Physical requirements - ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) and perform repetitive tasks.
This is a year round position with the busiest season being September to June each year. 40 to 55+ hours per week. Wage range is $25 to $34 per hour DOE/Q.
