Description
We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial operations and reporting for a manufacturing facility in Thomaston, Connecticut. This long-term contract position requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in cost accounting, variance analysis, and business partnering. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manufacturing cost accounting and analyze production costs to support operational decisions.
• Conduct variance analysis and margin reviews to identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Monitor working capital and conduct detailed margin analyses to drive profitability.
• Supervise cycle counts and oversee annual physical inventory processes.
• Ensure proper financial controls are implemented and maintained across operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to review financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Sales and Product analysis
Requirements
• Proven experience in manufacturing cost accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong proficiency in month-end close processes and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with SAP and other financial systems.
• Ability to conduct reconciliations and prepare accurate journal entries.
• Expertise in managing cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
• Solid understanding of financial controls and audit compliance.
• Exceptional analytical skills for margin and working capital analysis.
