Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.
Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.
To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.
Performs ultrasound diagnostic imaging on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols
Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning
Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed after each procedure
Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
Completes all clinical supply inventory
Actively Participates with patient testing, performing routine, non‐routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests
Job Requirements
Required
Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire
Preferred
Associates Other or
one year certificate from a healthrelated program in a related medical field, which includeseminar course training in cardiac ultrasound
Where You'll Work
The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders.
