PAY : $52.41
Scheduled Work Hours : Monday – Friday 4:00pm – 12:30am (Overtime will be required when necessary)
Headquartered in both Kansas City and Topeka, Evergy employs about 4,900 people who are dedicated to empowering a better future. We are currently seeking candidates for one (1) Mechanic Automobile. The reporting location for this position will be Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Please find below a list of the minimum requirements for the position. The candidates must supply their qualifications in the documentation submitted to be considered for the position.
Job Duties : Satisfactorily performs repairs and maintenance work on fleet vehicles and equipment. Must possess knowledge of hydraulic systems and operations. Makes repairs on cars and truck as required. Makes modifications on equipment as required.
Makes inspections on automobiles, trucks, tractors and other mechanical and tool equipment at designated intervals and corrects deficiencies in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Procures necessary supplies, equipment and parts as authorized.
Keeps and maintains proper manual and computerized vehicle records as required.
Qualifications
Essential Job Functions : Must be able to perform all essential functions as identified by the Company. Reasonable accommodations may be made upon request to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
General : Must have a valid Class B CDL and 6 months to acquire both a Class A CDL and MVI license.
Education : High School or equivalent. Trade school preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 5 years' experience on hydraulic, automotive and truck equipment and/or the completion of a Company-sponsored apprentice automobile mechanic program. Ability to use micrometers, tachometers, gauges, welding equipment, reboring tools and motor analyzing equipment. Working knowledge of types of tool equipment used by the Company.
