Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $33/hr

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Flexible schedule required based on site priorities.

What’s a typical day as a Environmental Health Safety EH&S Specialist? You’ll be:

  • Managing and improving EHS programs, including job hazard analyses, PPE assessments, and contractor safety.

  • Conducting EHS inspections, noise and ventilation surveys, respirator fit testing, and industrial hygiene sampling.

  • Managing hazardous and universal waste accumulation areas, ensuring compliance with labeling, inspections, and documentation.

  • Supporting environmental compliance reporting activities and leading sustainability initiatives across sites.

  • Leading or supporting root cause investigations for safety concerns and tracking corrective actions.

  • Developing and delivering EHS training to employees and contractors.

  • Supporting behavioral-based safety programs, site emergency response efforts, and performing ergonomic assessments.

  • Interpreting OSHA, NIOSH, and ANSI standards to ensure regulatory compliance and analyzing safety performance metrics.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have 1-2 years of relevant EHS experience (required).

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an EHS-related field (preferred).

  • Have experience with hazardous waste management, including Hazard Communication training, waste handling, labeling, and inspections.

  • Are familiar with environmental compliance reporting processes.

  • Have strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards.

  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Can manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • (Preferred) Have experience delivering EHS training, familiarity with EHS databases or reporting systems, and experience supporting sustainability initiatives.

  • Are adaptable and able to remain calm under pressure.
