GRAETTINGER-TERRIL COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT Elementary Special Education Teacher in Terril, Iowa
Graettinger-Terril Elementary is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities, ensuring they have access to a high-quality education and opportunities for personal and academic growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and support staff.
Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students individual needs.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of performance and behavior.
Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices.
Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications:
Valid [State] Special Education Teaching License or Certification.
Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters preferred.
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of current best practices in special education and inclusion.
