Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Tenafly, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing individual tax returns with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities:
• Accurately prepare and file individual tax returns in compliance with current regulations.
• Review and analyze client financial documents to determine applicable deductions and credits.
• Utilize Lacerte Tax software to streamline the tax preparation process.
• Provide clear and detail-oriented communication with clients regarding their tax obligations and refunds.
• Ensure all tax filings are completed by established deadlines.
• Conduct thorough reviews of completed tax returns to identify and correct any discrepancies.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive client information.
• Collaborate with team members to address complex tax scenarios and provide solutions. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, specifically for individual tax returns.
• Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax software.
• Strong understanding of current tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing tax documents.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Availability to work on a contract basis.
