The Student Nurse Tech position requires orientation attendance week 1= Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Employment is contingent on full orientation attendance.
Job Summary
Your role as a Student Nurse Technician involves caring for patients of all ages. Work under a registered nurse's supervision. Document observations, report, assist with medical procedures, and handle other unit tasks.
Essential Functions of the Role
Employing non-invasive and non-sterile treatments.
Gathering and documenting patient data, including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and environment status.
Assisting patients with ambulatory needs and maneuvers such as positioning and turning.
Ensuring patient's transport within the facility is properly managed.
Helping with meal preparations and personal hygiene tasks.
Running errands or picking up supplies for day-to-day operations.
Facilitating the collection and delivery of patient samples.
Sanitizing patient rooms and maintaining cleanliness by stocking necessary linens and supplies.
Handling incoming calls and communication.
Key Success Factors
You can enroll in a nursing program for a diploma, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree. Upon graduation, work as a Nurse Tech until your start date as a Graduate Nurse or Registered Nurse.
You must commit to improving. Keep a record of education completed.
Demonstrable proficiency in the necessary skills and competencies.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent & Current participation in core nursing classes (clinicals) in an associate degree (ADN), or baccalaureate degree (BSN) nursing program.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Basic Life Support (BLS) Or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
