Job Description
We are seeking a remote Senior Power BI Developer to support a healthcare (lab) organization undergoing a data platform migration from Oracle to Databricks with Power BI. This role will partner closely with data engineering and business stakeholders to design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards, datasets, and paginated reports.
In addition to strong technical expertise, this role requires the ability to teach, guide, and support stakeholders who are newer to Power BI, helping teams understand reports, data models, and best practices. The ideal candidate is comfortable explaining complex concepts in plain language and supporting adoption across technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills and Requirements
• Senior Power BI Developer with 6+ years of hands-on Power BI experience
• Strong experience working with Databricks as a data source
• Ability to handle both data visualization and SQL development
• Proven experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based reporting
• Advanced experience with DAX coding (measures, time intelligence, performance optimization)
Hands-on experience building Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder • Experience designing or supporting Power BI architecture, including datasets, workspaces, and deployment best practices
• Experience supporting enterprise or regulated environments (healthcare, labs, finance, etc.)
• Background working with Oracle-based data sources and migration initiatives
• Strong data modeling experience (fact/dimension tables, star schema)
• Ability to mentor, guide, and explain Power BI concepts to users with varying levels of technical knowledge
