B&N Senior Roadway Engineer Responsibilities:
- Act as the Engineer of Record for project deliverables
- Serve as lead/chief roadway design engineer and deputy project manager, lead, develop, and implement roadway design approaches, design criteria, and task management functions on projects.
- Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete projects on time and within budget
- Collaborate with professional engineers within B&Ns Arizona operations and across the firm
- Create an exemplary client experience throughout project delivery
- Strengthen team capabilities through mentoring, training, and teaching staff technical skills
- Monitor relevant project performance using financial indicators, budget, and schedules
- Represent B&N in both external client meetings and external professional society meetings such as ACEC, APWA, ASCE, and others
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program required
- Arizona PE registration or ability to obtain through reciprocity
- Minimum 10 years of related experience
- Proven project delivery with strong interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs
- Ability to work remotely based on business operations and the needs of the firm
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Proficiency with PDF review programs (i.e. BlueBeam Revu, Adobe)
- Proficiency with design software packages (i.e. AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads) expected for work with Arizona public agencies
