Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking dynamic and experienced Project Managers to join our team and support various projects throughout Phoenix, Tucson, and Las Vegas. We are looking for individuals at different levels of experience, ranging from 2 to over 6 years, to bring a diverse set of skills and perspectives to our growing projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall financial health of projects, including developing and maintaining project financial projections and equipment projections.

  • Determine and allocate project estimates into the financial system and manage cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisions.

  • Provide financials and billings to accounting for timely payment and create monthly owner billings.

  • Oversee budget for and make selections of trade partners and suppliers, handling billings and contract management, including contract buyouts.

  • Manage Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s), providing job assignments, career development, and approving time cards for on-site team members.

  • Function as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representative, assisting with the review of the owner agreement and resolving site concerns.

  • Manage change orders, determine when to submit to the owner or on-site representative, and obtain customer/architect's approval.

  • Maintain schedule and budget until project completion and provide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team members.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in project management, commercial construction, and general contracting.

  • Background in commercial construction, with experience in healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, sports/entertainment, higher education, or lab/pharma.

  • Ground-up construction experience and ability to fulfill responsibilities for complex projects.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks.

  • Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project-related web applications at an intermediate level.

  • Effective communication and active listening skills, with an openness to diverse input and feedback.

  • Ability to travel as required by project demands.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • Project Manager I requires 2+ years as a PM.

  • Project Manager II requires 5+ years as a PM.

  • Sr Project Manager requires 8+ years as a PM.

Work Environment

The role is primarily onsite at project locations, with hours typically around 40-50 per week, depending on project demands. We offer a salaried position with per diem for those traveling to Tucson or Las Vegas, but not applicable for local employees. Our company provides a comprehensive benefits package, including parental leave, 9 paid holidays, PTO, life insurance, and mental health benefits. A company vehicle or allowance with a gas card is provided for local travel. The upcoming and current projects include the Cardinals training facility, Honor Health, and Banner Ironwood in Phoenix; a student housing project in Tucson; and a hotel near the strip and existing Springhill Suites in Las Vegas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Tempe, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
