Location: Tempe, AZ
Pay Rate: $50/hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Length: ASAP start – End of 2025–2026 School Year
Modality: ELA/Reading Inclusion (6th & 7th Grade)

Position Overview
A dedicated Middle School Special Education Resource Teacher is needed to provide specialized instruction and academic support to students in inclusion-based ELA and Reading settings for grades 6–7. The teacher will implement individualized programs, collaborate with general education staff, and ensure services are delivered in alignment with student needs and professional standards.
This role requires strong teamwork, effective instructional planning, and a commitment to supporting student success through evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction to middle school students in ELA/Reading inclusion settings.
Collaborate with general education teachers to support curriculum accessibility and student participation.
Deliver targeted academic interventions and tutorial assistance.
Participate in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all applicable requirements.
Cultivate an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred).
Valid Arizona teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
Minimum of one year teaching experience (preferred).
Preferred certifications:
Standard Elementary Teaching
Standard Secondary Teaching
Standard Special Education Teaching
Preferred endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1).
Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
Current CPR certification (if applicable).
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
Current health certificate (if required by state or contract guidelines).
Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
