Jacobs Mechanical Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 in Tempe, Arizona

We are looking for Mechanical Engineering Interns focused on building/facility mechanical systems to join our teams in Tempe, AZ, to help us transform intangible ideas into innovative solutions designing the future - today.

You’ll work alongside professional engineers and designers, gaining exposure to project coordination, relevant computer-assisted engineering software, data collection and so much more.

The Jacobs Tempe office continues to grow in the amount and variety of work we do. Historically the bulk of our work has focused on the advanced electronics facilities semiconductor industry.

  • In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • This position is considered in-person and requires you to report regularly to a project site, because of this candidates are required to live locally or relocate to the local area (ideally within approximately 50 miles of site)

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • 3.0 GPA

  • Previous relevant internship experience

  • Must be at least a rising Junior (currently completing Sophomore year)

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation

  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future
