The Small Business Specialist 3 (SBS 3) provides comprehensive financial solutions to small business clients with annual revenues between $500,000 and $2.5 million. This role manages an existing book of business while also generating new relationships through proactive prospecting, referrals, and community engagement.

The SBS 3 combines strong relationship‑building skills with digital tools to deliver a high‑quality client experience. Responsibilities include opening and servicing business accounts, identifying appropriate product solutions, and achieving assigned sales, revenue, and growth goals. This role requires outside business development activities and close collaboration with branch partners and internal business lines.

As a bilingual position, this role requires the ability to fluently serve clients in both English and Spanish, supporting the needs of the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of small business clients with $500K–$2.5M in annual revenue

  • Deepen existing client relationships through routine calling and ongoing financial reviews

  • Develop new business through prospecting, referrals, and community involvement

  • Identify client needs and recommend appropriate business solutions, including:

  • Business deposit accounts

  • Lending solutions

  • Treasury, payments, and digital tools

  • Open, service, and maintain business accounts in compliance with bank policies

  • Achieve assigned sales, revenue, and growth goals

  • Collaborate closely with branch partners, business banking, and other internal teams

  • Refer clients to Business Banking and other U.S. Bancorp partners as additional needs are identified

  • Provide services fluently in both English and Spanish

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically three or more years of customer service, consultative sales and/or prospecting experience

  • Strong relationship management and business development skills

  • Ability to conduct outside calling and prospecting activities

  • Bilingual ability to read, write, and speak in business-level proficiency of Spanish and English

  • Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required

  • Subject to background and credit check under the SAFE Act

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $25.63 - $34.18
