Job Title: Production Control Supervisor
Job Description
Join a dynamic automotive precision machining company as a Production Control Supervisor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team and drive operational success in a well-established manufacturing environment. With a focus on production control, shipping, and receiving, you will play a crucial part in ensuring on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and seamless production flow.
Responsibilities
Directly supervise approximately 20 hourly employees across production control, shipping, and receiving.
Lead daily startup meetings and manage cross-shift communication.
Monitor and adjust production schedules based on material availability and customer requirements.
Oversee receiving operations, verifying counts, ensuring packaging compliance, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Assign work to team members, observe performance, and deliver real-time coaching and feedback.
Prepare and maintain reports, documentation, and performance data in Excel and PowerPoint.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production, inventory, and shipping issues as they arise.
Enforce safety standards and company policies on the floor.
Operate forklift and other mobile equipment as needed.
Essential Skills
Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, logistics, or a related field.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
Proficient in organization and scheduling, with experience managing production schedules and coordinating material flow.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with regular use in a professional setting.
Experience in inventory control and shipping/receiving, with a focus on FIFO practices and maintaining accurate counts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Forklift experience is preferred, as it adds practical credibility on the floor.
Familiarity with Lean, TPS, Kanban, and JIT practices is preferred but not required.
Experience with MRP systems is beneficial in managing material requirements and supporting production scheduling.
An associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Automotive supply chain background is a plus.

Work in a manufacturing plant environment that supports automotive machining operations. The role involves a combination of office work, plant floor presence, and facility walkthroughs. It is a fast-paced, production-driven environment where facility uptime is critical. The dress code is business casual in offices or meetings, with industrial/safety-appropriate attire required on the plant floor. The role primarily follows a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional off-hours support possible during facility issues or projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58900.00 - $62000.00/yr.
