Centennial Bank Mortgage Lender Supervisor in Tampa, Florida



Must have the following to apply:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Six (6) years of experience
  • Requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
  • Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.

Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats

Job Description:

The Mortgage Lender Supervisor solicits residential first mortgages through contacts with realtors, builders, and developers. Interview loan applicants and makes credit decisions. This role supervises designated Mortgage Loan Originators. The Mortgage Lender Supervisor also provides strategic direction and leadership to ensure corporate and divisional goals are met. This position is responsible for working with the management team to ensure mortgage loan production meets established objectives while assuring the production meets quality standards and compliance guidelines.

  • Work with assigned branch office to ensure awareness of home loan products
  • Handle referrals from branch office and provide appropriate follow-up
  • Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts)
  • Analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness
  • Maintain knowledge of available loan products, processing procedures and underwriting guidelines
  • Take borrower applications
  • Utilize communication and access of daily rates, credit reports and AUS responses and transmitting to processor
  • Collect appropriate documentation from each applicant and deliver loan package to processor
  • Maintain high levels of customer service while managing each applicant's and support staff's expectations
  • Attend and participate in all lending meetings as required
  • Complete BSA/AML training and other compliance training as necessary
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Supervise designated mortgage originators
  • Set and monitor production and income target goals for originators
  • Keep originators informed of new products, changes in procedures or products, and any other tools that will help them be more productive
  • Be present in the field to assist with sales to market realtors, closing agents, attorneys, and other centers of influence to aid in production for the market originators
  • Work with operations manager to insure good flow between production and operations/processing
  • Monitor service levels delivered to customers
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
