The Opportunity The Mission Support Operations Specialist is responsible for customer service, visitor management, access control, and logistics support within the Mission Support Operations team. This role contributes to a professional, efficient, and mission-focused environment while supporting daily operations and team collaboration.

The Mission Support Operations Specialist provides front-line support for visitor access, logistics coordination, and daily operational needs. This role ensures a welcoming and professional experience for staff and guests while maintaining facility readiness and operational efficiency. The Specialist collaborates with team members across mission support functions to deliver consistent service and support mission success.

This position provides a strong foundation in mission support operations within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Employees in this role gain practical exposure to operational coordination, logistics, facilities support, and customer-facing services, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of how business operations function within a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities (Principal Duties and Accountabilities *Essential Functions)

  • Greet and process visitors while maintaining a professional environment and adherence to security and access control policies.
  • Coordinate event setup, scheduling, visitor access requests, and execution of customer requirements.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations, including package handling, documentation, and coordination with vendors.
  • Track inventory and coordinate replenishment to maintain operational readiness.
  • Maintain breakroom cleanliness and coordinate restocking of coffee, beverages, and snacks to ensure availability and presentation standards.
  • Provide day-to-day customer service support to staff and guests.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Support team coverage across mission support functions as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with company security and operational procedures.
  • Manage and support visitor processing, access control, and facility opening/closing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelors degree in a related field may substitute for experience.

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities

  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, front desk, or logistics support.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills

  • Basic proficiency with standard office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar systems).
  • Experience working in a security-sensitive or regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong adherence to procedures and ability to follow established protocols with minimal deviation.
  • Situational awareness and sound judgment in identifying and responding to potential security or operational concerns.

Summary

This position requires flexibility to support facility operations, including opening and closing responsibilities and occasional support outside standard business hours. Work schedules are typically aligned to cover operational needs within these hours.

Primary work hours are scheduled within the facilitys operating window (approximately 0700-1800).
