JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead Cycle Fill Technician at Polaris Pharmacy Services is responsible for overseeing the cycle fill process, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing a team of technicians, optimizing workflow, and maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction through timely and precise medication dispensing.

SCHEDULE: 8:00am - 4:30pm. Occasional weekends may be required as business needs arise.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and lead a team of cycle fill technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality service delivery.

  • Coordinate and manage the daily cycle fill operations, ensuring that all prescriptions are filled accurately and efficiently within designated timeframes.

  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to meet patient needs.

  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify areas for process improvement and work collaboratively with the pharmacy management team to implement changes that enhance operational efficiency.

  • Ensure that all cycle fill activities are conducted in a manner that prioritizes patient safety and confidentiality.

  • Act as a point of contact for resolving complex issues or discrepancies related to the cycle fill process, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cycle fill activities, ensuring data integrity and compliance with audit requirements.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging team members to share ideas and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in pharmacy technology to enhance the cycle fill process and service offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.

  • Proficient in the use of pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and documentation.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff and clients.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service.

  • Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance standards.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.

  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY

  • Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.

    Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
