Role Overview
As a Histologist , you’ll play a key role in preparing tissue specimens for diagnosis, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Process tissue from fixation to final slide, including special stains and techniques
Maintain required files, records, and documentation for compliance
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
Stock and manage laboratory supplies
Use medical terminology and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills
Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
? Certification & Licensure
Required: Histology Technician or Histology Technologist License
Preferred: ASCP certification
?Education
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Technical degree in Histotechnology or Associate’s in a related field
? Experience
- Preferred: 1-2 years of laboratory experience
