Job Title: Decision Support Analyst
Job Description
As a Decision Support Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting organizational decision-making and performance evaluation through comprehensive data analysis and reporting. This position involves developing insightful reports and dashboards to aid leadership and institutional stakeholders, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and collaborating with various departments to resolve data discrepancies.
Responsibilities
Develop and prepare reports, dashboards, graphs, and charts for leadership and institutional stakeholders.
Analyze hospital and professional billing and costing data to support organizational decision-making and performance evaluation.
Interpret results from dashboards, scorecards, and reports, and communicate findings to business and clinical leaders.
Deliver timely ad-hoc reports, analytical modeling, and data analysis to support departmental and leadership requests.
Utilize decision support systems such as StrataJazz and PM Performance Manager to develop reporting and perform financial and operational analysis.
Perform post-costing validation activities, including the review of cost-to-charge ratios and margin reports, to ensure accuracy and financial integrity.
Assist with testing, validation, and implementation of decision support systems and related databases to ensure accurate data integration.
Maintain internal controls and update documentation, training materials, and procedures to support data quality and consistent reporting processes.
Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, HIM, IT, Finance, and other operational teams to resolve data discrepancies and support institutional reporting needs.
Essential Skills
Experience in healthcare finance, revenue cycle reporting, business intelligence (BI), decision support, and cost accounting.
Familiarity with healthcare analytics dashboards using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, StrataJazz, or Tableau.
Strong understanding of medical billing and coding processes.
Experience with healthcare information systems such as Epic, Soarian, and StrataJazz.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with developing and maintaining healthcare analytics dashboards.
Experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable.
Work Environment
This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from the comfort of your home. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wyoming. The position offers a six-month contract with potential to extend or transition to a permanent role. This is an exciting opportunity to learn new systems and be part of a new system implementation.

This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $43.00/hr.
