We are seeking a Civil CAD Designer with over three years of experience to support complex site, land development, and environmental infrastructure projects. This role will focus heavily on grading plans, volume calculations, and detailed utility drawings for large-scale projects, including landfill and similar large civil projects. You will report directly to a Senior CAD Designer who will provide hands-on mentorship and technical guidance.
Responsibilities
Prepare permit, bid, and construction-level drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Develop grading plans, earthwork exhibits, and volume calculations, including cut/fill analysis and capacity modeling.
Produce site layouts, profiles, sections, and details for large land development and infrastructure projects.
Create detailed utility drawings, including stormwater, water, and sanitary systems, as well as lift stations, pump stations, piping systems, concrete pads, and structural interfaces.
Design and document slopes, connections, and tie-ins to existing and adjacent sites.
Support projects involving landfills, environmental facilities, or similarly complex sites.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and Senior CAD staff across multiple projects.
Apply established CAD standards while adapting to project-specific requirements.
Assist with data compilation, documentation, and technical support as needed.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, with strong preference for Civil 3D.
Experience in civil/site CAD design with a focus on grading plans and construction documents.
Strong understanding of earthwork, slopes, utilities, and site connectivity.
Familiarity with municipal and land development standards.
Experience with volume calculations and capacity analysis.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a deadline-driven, multi-project environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of Revit is a plus.
Experience with lift stations, pump stations, and utility coordination.
Familiarity with ArcGIS.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow technically.
Solid Waste/Landfill experience is preferred, but candidates with strong land development, earthwork, or large site design experience will be considered.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
