Job Description:
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of all technical duties and responsibilities required of a registered nurse within their area of expertise. Coordinates staffing, facilities, and equipment for Cardiovascular/EP Cath labs to ensure efficient resource utilization. Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions. Demonstrates critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations. Fosters a culture of psychological safety, where the team members feel supported, valued, empowered to speak up, share concerns, and contribute meaningfully. Promotes evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning. Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels. Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness. Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care. Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance. Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care. Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals. May be required to take call shifts as needed. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Work Experience:
• Experience in an invasive cardiac catheterization unit required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of radiographic and monitoring equipment and accessories and is able to evaluate images for technical quality. [Required]
• Leadership Skills: Accepts responsibility, makes independent decisions, directs and supports employees within department. Strong organizational and fiscal management skills. [Required]
• Human Relation Skills: Team oriented. Supportive and cooperative behavior is essential. Considerable oral and written communication skills. [Required]

Physical Requirements: Good physical and mental stamina to meet job demands (exposure to X-radiation, dark room chemicals, bloody fluids, lifting, and on-call rotations as assigned). Exposure to communicable/infectious diseases. [Required]
Education:
• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• N/A
Work Experience:
• 3+ years experience in a critical care setting; and/or in an electrophysiology lab; and/or peripheral vascular interventional setting [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$32.76 - $57.47
