Position: Ag Equipment Operator

Requirements: Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Repetitive movements is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employer's discretion. Workers must be responsible, follow instructions, and comply with attendance, punctuality, and work schedules, as repeated absenteeism, failure to meet job expectations, misconduct, insubordination, or violations of safety protocols may result in termination. Job Description: Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Mix specifiedmaterials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions tocontrol insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipmentmalfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agriculturalproduction, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Maintain farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinerymalfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Load hoppers,containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. Direct andmonitor the activities of work crews engaged in planting, weeding, or harvesting activities. Operate towed machines such as seed drills ormanure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information.Walk beside or ride on planting machines while inserting plants in planter mechanisms at specified intervals. Drive trucks to haul crops,supplies, tools, or farm workers. Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products.Position boxes or attach bags at discharge ends of machinery to catch products, removing and closing full containers. Irrigate soil, usingportable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest andstore grain crops. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Record informationabout crops, such as pesticide use, yields, or costs. Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal help during planting and harvesting.Participate in the inspecti n, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops. Harvest plants, and transplant or pot and labelthem. Inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress. Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application ofpesticides and fertilizers. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and selfpropelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant,cultivate, spray and harvest crops. Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping. Record information about plants and plantgrowth. Maintain inventory, ordering materials as required. Inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality. Maintain farm buildings, fences, andother structures. Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, and prune plants, shrubs, and trees, using gardening tools. Anticipated Hours of Work Per Week: 72 hrs per week.

Schedule: Monday-Saturday 12hrs 8:00am-8:00pm
