Cognizant Cybersecurity Architect in Tallahassee, Florida
About the role
As a Cybersecurity Architect , you will make an impact by designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud security solutions leveraging Zscaler and Azure technologies. You will be a valued member of our cybersecurity architecture team and work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and cross‑functional security stakeholders to strengthen our enterprise security posture.
In this role, you will:
Design and deliver high‑level and low‑level architectures for Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) , including Cloud DLP enablement and SSL inspection.
Design and deliver architectures for Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) to support secure remote access.
Develop solution deployment guides and obtain approvals for implementation execution plans.
Configure Zscaler components and migrate rules/configurations from legacy web proxy and VPN solutions.
Integrate Zscaler solutions with SIEM , Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS) , and other security tools as defined in the architecture.
Conduct testing, validation, and enterprise‑wide rollout of security solutions.
Update deployment documentation and deliver knowledge transfer to operations teams.

What you need to have to be considered
8–10 years of hands‑on experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) .
Proven expertise designing and configuring enterprise Zscaler solutions (ZIA, ZPA).
Experience migrating rules and configurations from legacy proxies and VPN technologies to Zscaler.
Strong understanding of Azure cloud environments , including identity, networking, and integration patterns.
Experience integrating Zscaler with SIEM and cloud security toolsets (e.g., MCAS).
Demonstrated ability to develop clear, scalable deployment guides and technical documentation.
Experience executing end‑to‑end solution testing and rollout.
These will help you stand out
Zscaler certifications (ZCCP, ZCA, ZPA/ZIA advanced levels).
Broader background in enterprise cybersecurity architecture.
Experience supporting large, distributed environments across multiple business units.
Familiarity with Zero Trust frameworks and modern secure access design patterns.
Strong communication skills and ability to deliver effective knowledge transfer to technical teams.

Salary and Other Compensation :

The annual salary for this position is between $ 108,000 - $ 125,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
