As the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactical plans for the hotel, ensuring effective execution. You will monitor the effectiveness of these strategies to achieve market share targets and ensure the attainment of revenue and room sales goals.

People & Team Management

Manage day-to-day operations; plan and assign work tasks.

Develop the team and improve performance through coaching and feedback; set performance and development goals for staff and recognize high achievers.

Train staff to ensure they meet the hotel’s revenue targets according to standards and provide them with the necessary tools for high efficiency.

Create a positive work environment for team development; foster a "One Team" mentality by working closely with all departments.

Manage external hotel relations including guests, suppliers, and other contacts as required.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and external contacts to drive revenue growth.

Guest Experience

Enhance guest experience by providing information regarding loyalty programs, local attractions, dining, and amenities.

Oversee on-site meetings and corporate group events; coordinate with other hotel departments to fulfill all services specified in sales agreements with potential clients.

Communicate relevant information across departments, including requirements for arriving VIPs, large groups, or other significant guest needs.

Lead marketing initiatives to upsell hotel services, products, and facilities to guests.

Financial Returns

Achieve all individual and team sales targets to maximize profitability.

Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets, financial plans, and the overall hotel marketing plan.

Develop and execute sales plans to drive room occupancy, increase Average Daily Rate (ADR), boost business volume, and grow Food & Beverage and banquet sales.

Review monthly reports and sales forecasts; analyze current and potential marketing trends; coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share, monitoring progress to ensure performance meets or exceeds the established revenue plan.

Design and develop special events and sales campaigns to promote hotel business to potential clients. Attend local and national trade shows and key marketing events to generate new business opportunities and enhance hotel visibility.

Corporate Responsibility

Maintain close contact with key business leaders, officials, and representatives of local community groups to ensure high visibility for the hotel.

Effectively promote and publicize the hotel’s environmental and sustainable development initiatives to capture new business opportunities.

Collaborate with advertising agencies, consultancies, and other vendors to maximize advertising ROI and ensure all materials reflect the brand image.

Enhance the local awareness and reputation of the hotel and brand; act as the hotel spokesperson during media interviews.

Identify opportunities for improvement in marketing activities and overall sales performance, working in close collaboration with other departments.

Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

4+ years of experience in Marketing or a related field within the service or hospitality industry, with a proven track record of directly managing sales teams.

Deep knowledge of the local market, including current business landscapes and emerging industry trends.

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese; must be proficient in using English as a professional working language.
