What you'll do:

As a Credit Analyst, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your analytical acumen will be central to evaluating creditworthiness and supporting business expansion efforts. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with Relationship Managers to collect vital client information, conducting rigorous analyses of financial statements, developing sophisticated data models for decision-making purposes, and preparing comprehensive reports for both new business opportunities and ongoing account management. You will also play an important role in ensuring compliance with local regulations by partnering with Compliance teams on KYC matters. By supporting colleagues on complex cases and participating in departmental projects or committees, you will help elevate the overall quality of credit applications while contributing positively to the team's collective goals. Your ability to communicate findings clearly—whether through written reports or presentations—will ensure that stakeholders are well-informed throughout each stage of the process.

  • Conduct thorough credit analysis for assigned accounts within the GC portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate assessment of credit risk based on collected financial data and sector information.

  • Prepare detailed reports for new accounts or existing clients seeking new business opportunities, securing necessary approvals from headquarters as required.

  • Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers to gather customer information, including financial statements and company accounts, to inform deal structuring and risk evaluation.

  • Support team members on complex credit applications by sharing insights, reviewing documentation, and promoting best practices across the department.

  • Develop robust data models and financial projections that assist the business in making informed decisions regarding deal structure, profitability, risk exposure, and tax implications.

  • Partner with Compliance and KYC teams to address regulatory requirements such as Know Your Customer (KYC) checks and sanctions compliance for all relevant transactions.

  • Review client credit risk regularly through ongoing monitoring activities such as borrower rating reviews, ensuring any potential issues are identified early to prevent credit loss.

  • Prepare compelling deal proposals and credit applications that align with business strategy while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

  • Assist in developing presentation materials for pitches prepared by the team, ensuring clarity of information presented to both internal stakeholders and clients.

  • Participate actively in cross-functional projects and relevant committees to share information, solve ad-hoc issues, and contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at growing the customer base.

What you bring:

To excel as a Credit Analyst in this role, your background should reflect substantial experience interpreting financial data within a regulated environment—ideally gained through several years working in banking or finance. Your interpersonal skills will enable you to build trust-based relationships with colleagues across departments as well as external partners. A keen attention to detail combined with sound judgement ensures your analyses are both accurate and actionable. You bring not only technical proficiency but also a willingness to share knowledge generously with others—helping raise standards across the team. Your familiarity with local regulations means you can navigate compliance requirements smoothly while always prioritising responsible risk management. Above all else, your commitment to collaborative problem-solving makes you an invaluable asset who contributes positively towards shared objectives.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills enabling you to interpret complex data sets accurately and draft clear, concise reports that inform business decisions.

  • Excellent communication abilities that allow you to influence others effectively using data-driven reasoning when discussing credit matters or presenting findings.

  • Proven experience or strong knowledge in developing data models and financial projections tailored for banking or finance environments.

  • Solid understanding of local financial laws and regulations relevant to credit analysis within Taiwan's banking sector.

  • High proficiency in English which enables you to interact confidently with internal teams as well as external stakeholders.

  • A degree qualification in finance, economics, accounting or a related discipline that underpins your technical expertise in this field.

  • Ideally at least three years’ experience working within finance or banking sectors where you have developed practical skills in credit assessment or risk management.
