The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Office Taguig City location in the Core Diagnostics Division.
Core Diagnostics
We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.
Major Responsibilities:
1) Manage 3rd party vendor on day to day warehouse, transportation and logistics operation for the affiliates
2) Manage with custom & broker on all inbound/outbound logistics including HS coding, duty and tax calculation
3) Collaborate with Source Distribution Center or affiliate Distribution Center to ensure inbound shipment and outbound orders are timely process per agreed service level agreement
4) Collaborate with 3rd party warehouse to ensure inventory accuracy in terms of Lot #, quantity & quality
5) Define and review inventory cycle count process and coodinate annual inventory count (as require)
6) Collaborate with Planning and 3PL to ensure damaged/expired inventories are destroyed timely & regularly
7) Work closely with Planning, Customer Service, forwarder, custom broker and warehouse to resolve any logistics related escalation
8) SME for Custom & Trade compliance, collaborate and support Global Trade Compliance team on global driven project and annual reporting of Duty Spend
9) Review and keep up to date on changes to custom regulation
10) Support Area or Global Logistics in warehouse and transportation tender
11) Review/approve freight & distribution related expense ensuring timely accounted
12) Publish/review Logistics dashboard to monitor performance of 3rd party warehouse/transportation supplier and automate reporting
13) Host/attend QBR/MBR meeting with 3rd party vendor. Logistics SME Rep for 4PL QBR meeting
14) Drive/support Area on project or continuous improvement programme (including sustainability program) to increase productivity and Gross Margin Improvement to reduce Freight & Distribution cost profile
15) Maintain a Logistics playbook and review regularly to ensure up to date against actual process and compliance to local regulation
16) Ensure all workflow and processes adher to Abbott OEC policy and procedures
Education (indicate minimum and why it is required):
Bachelor degree holder from Supply Chain Management, Logistics or other related discipline
Background/ Skills/ Experience:
• At least 4 years of working experience in warehouse/distributor operation, import/export logistics & custom brokerage of global healthcare, medical device, pharma or FMCG with 1-2 years in a regional cluster (prefer)
• Candidate with 5-8 years relevant working experience will be considered as Logistics Specialist
• Experience using SAP, WMS or TMS is a plus
• Knowledge on HS code & incoterms
• Proactive, strong interpersonal and communication skills in multi-cultural enviroment
• Passionate, self-driven & can do attitude
• Proficient in reading and writing of English with multiligual of other Asian languages is a plus
• Computer literacy. Strong in MS Excel, Powerpoint and Power BI (good to have)
Accountability/ Scope (describe the primary accountabilities of this position and the impact of actions):
Responsible for day to day warehouse, logistics and custom broker operation. Ensure operation is able to meet the agreed service level of customer in the most cost effective way. Accountable for the logistics metric and support Logistics Head on continous process improvement programme and reporting
