Part-Time Shuttle Detailer

We are hiring an entry-level technician to wash and detail vehicles in our shuttle fleet.

This position will be in Syracuse, NY - on the grounds at the New York State Fair. We are seeking staff for 10am-2pm shifts, and will consider staff seeking 5 days, 3 days, or 2 days per week.

Staff will hand-wash, vacuum, sweep, clean windows, etc on our walk-on shuttle vans. This will include washing vehicles in winter months.

Base pay of $18/hour to start.

Skills

• Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles, performing any combination of the following duties: Washes vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.

• Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using a cloth or buffing machine.

• Vacuum interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using a vacuum cleaner.

• Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.

• Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces, and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.

• Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of the product manufacturer.

• Must be able to understand formulas in order to mix cleaning solutions, paints, and other chemicals.

• The ability to operate cleaning equipment is essential must know how to efficiently operate hand tools or power tools and follow the safety policies.

• Maintain an organized working area.

• Be organized and able to follow schedules and management directions.
