Syracuse Regional Airport Authority Project Control Analyst in SYRACUSE, New York
Syracuse Hancock International Airport operated by Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) is a flourishing airport and seeking a full-time, experienced Project Control Analyst. The SRAA is dedicated to fostering a workplace that values the unique contributions of every team member. As part of our dynamic team, you will assist the Project Manager with support activities including contractor coordination, schedule tracking and procurement of materials and services. Managing financial aspects of construction and large implementation projects will require a financial background and experience reconciling support documentation with General Ledger, project tracking in Procore system and grant management. Must have good analytical skills with ability to address budget to actual variances. Position will help coordinate project needs, goals, and objectives by working with their team and other senior staff members throughout the Authority. The successful incumbent will demonstrate initiative and operate with latitude under general supervision received from the Chief Financial Officer or designee. Position is a control analyst position that works specifically on the financial aspects of airport projects. Does related work as required. Typical Work Activities * Set up design and construction projects in project software program * Ensures complete document maintenance in project software program * Assists Project Manager with support activities including contractor coordination, schedule tracking, and procurement of materials and services, including but not limited to: o Assist with submittal distribution and follow up o Assist with RFI distribution and follow up o Assists in compiling bid documents o Complete change order logs * Serves as secondary contact point for projects * Coordinate site surveys * May participate in project coordination meetings * Escort contractors * Tracks project budgets, both expended and total projected costs * Track project funding sources * Handles grant management activities, and assists in grant pay application submissions * Reconciles financial project financial status to general ledger * Reviews contractor/consultant pay applications for accuracy * May procure and manage project furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) * Assists Consulting Owners Representative or Project Manager as needed * Other duties as assigned ### Requirements * Working or general knowledge of the principles and practices of planning, design and construction including cost estimating, construction codes, site work construction and inspection, and environmental permitting. * Experience managing financial aspects of construction and large implementation projects * Good knowledge of the principles, methods and equipment common to construction projects * Financial experience in reconciliation of support documentation with the General Ledger and project tracking * Good analytical skills with the ability to address budget to actual variances * Ability to manage and prepare detailed project budgets and estimations * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Ability to work effectively, professionally, and respectfully with a diverse staff, vendors, contractors, engineers, and government officials * Proficient in use of a personal computer, and Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel and Outlook * Must be able to perform the physical requirements required for the position, including ability to stand, walk or be mobile, and sit for long periods of time * Experience in Finance is required * Experience in Aviation and capital projects preferred.
