The Nursing Department invites applications to teach in OCC's Nursing Workforce programs including Certified Nurses Aide and Home Health Aide.
Major responsibilities include teaching clinical instruction and evaluation, lab instruction and evaluation; student mentoring and ensuring strengthening of knowledge, skills and competencies
The successful candidate will:
Use appropriate technology to deliver and enhance learning.
Be innovative in the presentation of hands-on learning activities that achieve learning outcomes.
Assess learning outcomes and provide timely feedback.
Be responsive to student questions and available for student support.
Demonstrate insight and encouragement in working with diverse student populations, especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education.
Be accountable to meet the needs of the Department and the College, including timely submission of grades and other required materials.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Workforce position in program (CNA or HHA):
Current NYS RN registration and CPR certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and another language will be considered.
Additional Information:
Rate of pay is $45.00/hour. This position is not eligible for benefits. This position will begin June 1, 2026.
