Following Orientation, you'll begin working in full-time position outlined below and take part in ongoing development activities including quarterly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Hackathon Project.About the Position Are you excited about innovative communications and networking technologies? As an Associate Engineer in Telecommunications and Network Engineering, you'll dive into the specification, design, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions for our electric distribution and sub-transmission systems. Here's what you'll be up to: * Engineering Tasks: Perform routine engineering work using standard techniques and procedures to carry out your tasks effectively. * Learning & Development: Complete assignments designed to build your professional knowledge and abilities while being guided by experienced engineers. * Resource Management: Execute instructions, plan and organize resources, and ensure that work is carried out efficiently and aligns with company policies. * Collaboration: Actively engage with our IT and third-party communications partners to develop end-to-end communication solutions. * Professional Networking: Build and nurture relationships with industry peers and external influencers to stay updated on technical innovations and their potential benefits. * Storm Support: Assist with storm restoration efforts in addition to your regular job duties, helping to keep our systems running smoothly.What You'll Need * Bachelor or Master's in Computer Network Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution * Graduated between May 2025 and June 2026 * Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on July 13, 2026 * Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy * Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization) It would be awesome if you had * Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering exam * Network and telecommunications engineering experience or coursework * Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering exam * Network and telecommunications engineering experience or courseworkAt National Grid, we're SuperpoweredThe world of energy is changing faster than ever.
