Job Title: Environmental Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Project Manager to oversee and manage significant remediation projects across multiple superfund sites in Upstate, NY.
One of the key projects includes the extensive 25-year remediation and restoration of the Onondaga Lake Superfund Site in Syracuse, New York, which stands as one of the most substantial and intricate remediation programs in the United States.
Responsibilities
Travel to various superfund sites across Upstate, NY, including the Onondaga Lake Superfund Site.
Interpret and analyze project drawings.
Conduct and lead safety meetings.
Perform takeoffs and soil sampling.
Prepare detailed project reports.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Manage and oversee construction and civil engineering activities related to environmental remediation.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time based on project requirements.
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification.
Experience in environmental, remediation, civil, or decontamination work.
Reliable transportation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency with ACC, Procore, or similar construction management platforms.
In situ stabilization (ISS) experience.
OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper Certification (preferred).
Experience in environmental engineering, environmental remediation, groundwater management, and environmental monitoring.
Familiarity with Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments.
Work Environment
This role primarily involves fieldwork. Per diem is eligible to cover travel expenses.
The work environment will require adherence to safety standards and may involve working in various weather conditions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syracuse, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
