We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with CNC machinery. This role is crucial in producing high-quality components that meet strict specifications and tolerances. The CNC Machinist will work with various tools and technologies to ensure precision in machining operations.
Duties
- Must have familiarity with a Haas CNC. Preferablly a VF-6SS.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring they are calibrated correctly for optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
- Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances of machined parts.
- Program CAM software for efficient machining processes, including adjustments as needed.
- Perform Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) when required for complex components.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure operational efficiency and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to fabricate custom parts as per project requirements.
- Use bore gauges and other measuring instruments to check the quality of finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software for designing parts and assemblies.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
- Familiarity with various machining techniques and tools, including milling, turning, and grinding operations.
- Experience with CAM programming is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work consistently.
