News Corp Australia Product Manager in Sydney, Australia

What's the role?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join our dynamic digital product team and work with some of the most well-known media brands across Australia. This is a 12 month fixed term contract role based in Sydney.

Our focus is on the media landscape and creating world-class products for our news audience. We take a comprehensive approach to product optimisation, considering n ot only news content but also emerging digital consumption trends across all content creator and distribution channels. Our aim is to deliver quality journalism in formats that meet our audience's needs.

Reporting to the Head of Product - State & Communities, this role is designed to support the execution and delivery of the product roadmap for our State & Communities brands, including The Daily Telegraph, The Herald Sun, The Courier Mail & The Adelaide Advertiser, alongside our regional publications.

  • Assist in executing digital product roadmaps for consumer-focused products across our State & Communities brands.

  • Support the prioritisation, gathering, and validation of product requirements, working closely with business stakeholders and staying updated on consumer and competitor trends.

  • Work alongside senior team members and use data and insights to support product decisions that aim to attract new digital audiences, enhance subscriber engagement, and uncover subscription growth opportunities.

  • Help manage the successful delivery and optimisation of our State & Communities websites and apps to provide an excellent user experience, increase engagement, and ensure functionality.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input on business challenges and offer product solutions.

  • Assist in maintaining product roadmaps and ensure transparency around priorities and product direction.

  • Use data-driven insights to help guide product decisions and align the business on priorities.

  • Be part of a supportive, collaborative team, sharing ideas and insights to achieve the best outcomes for consumers and the business.

Who are you?

  • You have demonstrated experience in digital product management and supporting product roadmaps.

  • You’re familiar with agile methodologies or eager to develop your skills in an agile environment.

  • You excel at building strong relationships and collaborating with teams across the business.

  • You’re comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution, working alongside UX, design, and engineering teams.

  • You’re data-driven, able to analyze and derive insights from data to guide product decisions.

  • User experiences are important to you and enjoy iterating on products to meet audience needs.

  • You’re adaptable, able to navigate shifting priorities while maintaining focus on delivering impactful results.
