We invite you to join our expanding team at JUMBO Consulting Group as a Senior Procurement Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for the procurement of key DEVEX and CAPEX contracts for major energy projects.
More specifically, we are seeking procurement and commercial professionals that have experience with electric transmission and substation construction.
Role & Responsibility
Your role will entail the development and implementation of supply chain and procurement strategies, sourcing and contract negotiations, and supporting the realization of major electric transmission projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Plan, implement, and execute procurement/tender strategies from start to finish.
Draft and negotiate contracts for supply of components or construction and installation services.
Provide guidance and advice to our clients on a variety of commercial and contractual matters.
Lead and coordinate commercial, technical, financial and legal expertise while ensuring compliance with our clients' governance and approval procedures.
Provide maximum value to our clients in terms of quality, price and schedule while managing risks.
Lead and perform the complete procurement process including issuing of requests for information, requests for proposals and tenders, evaluating proposals, recommending the award of and finalizing contracts.
Ensure that the procurement process is executed according to client policies and procedures, and documented to allow transparency and traceability throughout.
Further to your work on major energy developments, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in:
Business and Personnel Development:
Tools and Procedure; support to the overall group through contributing to the development of tools and procedures including the Contracts Management Practice Group.
Contribute or host informal and formal training sessions with the overall group.
Work closely and in collaboration with JUMBO's growing team and the client(s) project team(s).
You will also work closely with the global JUMBO organization that currently consists of more than 90 persons across the world.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking passionate and motivated procurement professionals that are aligned to our Vision and excited by the opportunities and challenges of working in a rapidly expanding international business. Ideally you will have:
Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field of study.
Experience in a similar role, preferably in a matrix organization.
Experience within the energy or construction industries.
Experience with leading and managing procurement and tender processes.
Ability to project manage processes and lead negotiations.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
Structured and methodical way of working.
