The Role

The Key Accounts Manager will lead and grow partnerships across large retailers and financial institutions throughout Australia and New Zealand. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, partnership expansion, and the development of new commercial channels within the travel finance ecosystem. The Key Accounts Manager will be a trusted advisor and commercial lead, working closely with senior stakeholders within partner organisations to deliver innovative travel finance solutions, deepen relationships, and ensure mutual long-term success for Travelex ANZ

Key accountabilities include:

  • Account Leadership: Manage and grow relationships with Tier 1 retail and banking partners across ANZ, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and performance outcomes.

  • Revenue Growth: Identify, negotiate, and execute new revenue opportunities across existing accounts — including product enhancements, co-branded and white label offerings, and new market initiatives.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and deliver strategic account plans focused on long-term partnership value, portfolio performance, and innovation in the travel finance sector.

  • Commercial Development: Lead contract renewals, pricing models, joint business plans, and performance reviews to drive profitability and partner satisfaction.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Digital, Compliance, Finance, Legal, and Operations) to deliver on partnership goals and new initiatives.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of travel, retail, and finance trends to proactively identify new partnership opportunities and revenue streams both internally and guide partners in building and executing agreed business plans

  • Performance Management: Track and report on account performance metrics, providing actionable insights to both internal and partner stakeholders., the expectation is that you will be actively meeting with key partner stakeholders, prepare comprehensive reports/dashboards, and agree short, medium and long terms actions to ensure growth for all parties

Your Profile

  • Proven track record managing senior stakeholders within major retailers, banks, or enterprise partners at a national level

  • Strong ability to develop and deliver strategic commercial solutions that drive growth and profitability.

  • Keen analytic prowess in P&L metrics and business cases when assessing new opportunities.

  • Professional verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Internal & External stakeholder groups including C-suite.

  • Excellent contract negotiation and deal structuring experience.

  • Data-driven approach to decision making, with the ability to translate insights into commercial opportunities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams) – ability to created presentations for commercial meetings and updates with strategic partners.

This role will require travelling across Australia and New Zealand

Key attributes:

  • 5+ years in Key Account Management, Business Development, or Partnership Management within financial services, fintech, payments, travel, loyalty or retail sectors

  • Project Management ability to build, direct and effectively communicate plans when executing a new partner initiative, and ensure its delivered in time and in budget

  • Demonstrated ability to identify new revenue streams and design creative go-to-market initiatives

  • Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of perseverance
