What's the role?

News Australia is seeking a Group Digital Lead to be the digital subject matter expert within our high-performing Client Partnerships team. The Group Digital Lead is a key player in our sales team, specialising in leveraging advanced technical knowledge and expertise to drive digital sales activities.

This role encompasses the entire spectrum of the sales process, with a focus on digital products and solutions. As a lead, this individual excels in solving complex technical challenges and engaging in strategic discussions with clients when required to drive digital sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the go-to expert for digital innovation, providing strategic guidance and best practices to elevate the Client Partnerships team’s capabilities.

  • Develop and implement forward-thinking digital strategies that align with client goals, leveraging News Corp Australia's unparalleled digital assets.

  • Create sophisticated, insight-driven strategies that enhance client satisfaction and deliver tangible results.

  • Monitor digital sales performance, uncover trends, and identify opportunities to maximise growth.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to embed digital thinking at every stage of the client journey.

  • Provide strategic feedback to Client Product teams, contributing to the evolution of News Corp Australia’s Product Roadmap.

Who are you?

We’re looking for a dynamic leader with a passion for digital innovation and a proven track record of success. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A strong background in digital sales or sales engineering, with a history of driving results in the technology or digital marketing industries.

  • A deep understanding of digital platforms, technologies, and tools, paired with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams, foster collaboration, and deliver results.

  • Experience in customer-facing roles such as sales, account management, or customer success, with a focus on building lasting client relationships.

  • A knack for identifying market opportunities, analysing competitor strategies, and crafting actionable plans to drive business growth.

  • A solid understanding of digital and technology industry trends, with a commitment to staying ahead of emerging developments.
