News Corp Australia Content Director Officeworks in Sydney, Australia

What's the role?

Medium Rare Content Agency is looking for a Content Director to lead and elevate the Officeworks content ecosystem across print, digital and video. This is a 12-month contract starting May 2026.

This is a senior leadership role that blends editorial vision with operational excellence. You will set the content direction, ensure best-in-class creative output and drive a program that continuously evolves through new ideas, formats and campaigns.

You will also play a key role in building strong client relationships, leading a high-performing team and delivering work that reflects the quality and ambition of Medium Rare.

Responsibilities

You will lead the Officeworks content team, overseeing the end-to-end planning, creation and delivery of content across Officeworks Magazine, the Noteworthy hub and YouTube, supported by owned and paid channels.

  • Lead content strategy and delivery across print, digital, and video

  • Oversee planning and production for Officeworks Magazine, Noteworthy, and YouTube

  • Ensure all content meets high editorial standards and aligns with brand and audience needs

  • Drive content innovation and new formats to grow engagement

  • Manage workflows, timelines, budgets, and resourcing

  • Use performance insights to optimise content and shape future direction

  • Partner closely with internal teams and the client to evolve the program

  • Act as the key client contact, building strong, trusted relationships

  • Lead and develop a high-performing content team

Who are you?

  • An experienced content leader with a strong editorial background

  • Proven experience managing teams and delivering multi-channel content

  • Highly skilled in commissioning, writing, and editing

  • Strong planning, workflow, and project management capabilities

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

  • Client-focused, with a proactive and solutions-driven approach

  • Confident presenting insights, trends, and recommendations

  • An excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills
