Electrical Maintenance Lead, youll own the reliability, safety, and performance of the electrical systems that power 24/7 mining and data center operations, leading a team of electricians responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing critical power and cooling infrastructure. Working hands-on in an industrial, mission-critical environment, youll respond to complex electrical challenges, drive preventive maintenance strategies, and make real-time decisions that directly impact uptime and system efficiency. - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician License required.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in industrial or data center environments.
- Proven experience working with substations and power systems at 35kV, 138kV and 345kV, mining or compute hardware, and industrial cooling systems.
- Advanced understanding of LV, MV, and HV electrical systems, including Power Transmission / Distribution, Transformers, Switchgear, Circuit breakers and Backup generators.
- Familiarity with cooling systems used in industrial or high-density compute environments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools (multimeters, thermal imagers, monitoring platforms).
- NFPA 70E certification.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-management capabilities.
- Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, and performing tasks at elevated heights.
Other important requirements:
- Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
- Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.
- Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
- Must be comfortable working a rotational schedule, which includes day and night shifts as well as weekend work, based on project needs.
Employees working night shifts will receive a 15% premium added to their hourly rate only for hours worked during night shifts.
Lead and supervise maintenance electricians, providing daily direction, coaching, and performance guidance.
- Ensure maintenance tasks are completed fficiently, safely, and to industry and company standards.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for PDUs, transformers, backup power systems, and mining hardware.
- Respond to and resolve electrical faults, power supply issues, equipment malfunctions, and emergency repair needs.
- Drive rapid and effective solutions to reduce downtime and improve electrical system reliability.
- Supervise the testing and maintenance of generators, battery systems, and other backup power components.
- Monitor and maintain cooling systems to prevent overheating and safeguard high-density compute equipment.
- Plan and coordinate electrical system upgrades to support new mining hardware, increased power loads, and facility expansions.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and implement optimized power and cooling solutions.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and all internal safety standards.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, toolbox talks, and enforcement of safe work practices.
- Oversee and create proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, including Switching and Grounding Instructions for electrical work.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, electrical usage, downtime incidents, and equipment performance.
- Prepare reports for management related to system efficiency, safety issues, and operational improvements.
- Manage inventory of critical spares, tools, and materials.
- Work closely with mining engineers, facility teams, and IT staff to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with operational needs.
- Coordinate maintenance activities across departments to minimize operational disruption.

Compensation
The expected hourly rate is $52.50 USD.
