Job Description:TITLE: Logistics CoordinatorLOCATION: Onsite in Swedesboro NJPAY: $60,000 - $65,000+ (Based on experience)Full time perm position, direct hire with clientJOB SUMMARY: Working with customers and suppliers, to oversee the movement, distribution and storage of all products. Maintaining a customer service relationship while coordinating inbounds and outbounds of raw material and finished product. Working with the Production Manager to determine the order in which product will be available to meet customer demands. Manage Warehouse Supervisor, the warehouse function and its employees.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESReceive orders from customers stating what type of product to be used and when final product is neededMaintain food safe loading and unloading areasCoordinate with Production Manager to determine the order of production to meet customer requirements and datesMaintaining a customer service relationship with all customers, suppliers and vendorsContinually review work orders keeping both production and customers up to date on any changes necessary to the production order and/or off loadingUse appropriate databases and spreadsheets to maintain an accurate record of all components of the logistical processEnsure adherence to procedures and policies, including GMP, HAACP and food safety requirementsConduct regular internal auditing to ensure food safety complianceMaintain and develop positive business relationships with customersAble to effectively communicate any changes to the delivery schedule to the customerAble to effectively communicate any changes to the delivery schedule to the internal teamDevelop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are metAdminister necessary training to employeesPerform daily inventory tracking for multiple customers raw materials, finished products, packaging material, process material, chemicals and hold/rework materialPerform month end and annual inventory reconciliation and analysisReview and process all invoices and other required paperwork regarding delivery and receipt of the product and raw materialProvide bill of ladings daily to Accounting as well as all other documents needed to accurately invoice customer.Sending/mailing any logistical paperwork for movement of raw material and finished productsResearch the root cause of documented customer complaintsInterface with Quality Assurance for sampling of products and meeting customer requirementsComplete and maintain all daily, weekly, monthly, etc paperwork and reports accurately and on a timely basisMaintain OSHA compliant loading and unloading areasHost regular meetings with Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics employeesSupervise Warehouse Supervisor and other warehouse employeesWorking with Warehouse Supervisor, keep track of incoming and outgoing loads to and from facility.Serve as Production Manager back-up as neededBe available after hours and on weekends to respond to urgent logistics issuesConduct regular evaluations of staff for effectivenessWork with HR Manager and Plant Manager to address and resolve any warehouse employee performance issuesParticipate in annual review of food safety systemQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
