Job Title: Metal Finisher
Schedule & Work Environment
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (No overtime)
Environment: Loud, high-heat manufacturing facility handling forged steel and alloy steel parts
Physical Requirements: Standing for extended periods, frequent movement, and regular lifting and carrying of heavy materials
Equipment: Grinders, deburrers, drill presses, vibro-etchers, stampers, and fork trucks
Safety: Proper PPE and strict adherence to safety procedures required
Job Summary
The Metal Finisher is responsible for grinding, deburring, and finishing forged metal parts to meet defined quality and appearance standards. This hands-on role involves operating various grinding and finishing equipment, performing visual inspections, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Hand-grind and finish forged metal parts using belt grinders, angle grinders, and bench grinders
Remove flash, scale, burrs, and excess material from hot- and cold-forged components
Grind, deburr, chamfer, polish, and clean parts to achieve required dimensions and finishes
Perform visual inspections to ensure surface quality and overall product standards are met
Follow work orders, diagrams, and written and verbal instructions accurately
Set up and operate finishing and stamping equipment including vibro-etchers, stampers, drill presses, deburrers, and bench devices as needed
Stamp, etch, clean, and move finished parts to designated locations
Operate a fork truck to transport materials, supplies, and finished parts between work areas
Safely lift, move, and carry materials to bins, skids, and production areas
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Report quality concerns, safety issues, or equipment problems to supervision promptly
Essential Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with metal grinding and finishing equipment
Background in deburring, grinding, polishing, and finishing forged metal parts
Manufacturing or production experience
Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions
Physically capable of lifting and handling heavy metal parts
Strong attention to detail for quality inspections
Dependable, safety-conscious, and organized
Additional Qualifications (Preferred)
Experience finishing steel or alloy steel components
General labor or industrial production Background
Fork truck operation experience
Familiarity with vibro-etchers, stampers, drill presses, and deburring equipment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
