Job Description

Job Title: Technology Sales Representative

Location: Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou

Responsibilities

  • Sell a subset of technology software/ hardware products directly or via partners, with a specific target on Taiwanese manufacturing enterprise clients in East China.

  • Identify, qualify, and close new sales opportunities within the defined territory, managing the entire sales process from business development prospecting and requirement specification through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support.

  • Engage with local DBAs and IT personnels at local factory sites, as well as CIOs and directors at Taiwan headquarters, to promote the demand generation and decisioning stage in the selling cycle.

  • Leverage the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share in the target region and client segment.

  • Build and expand business partner revenue and self-sufficiency to support sustainable sales growth.

  • Engage senior customer stakeholders, including CIO, CTO, and CFO-level executives, to articulate technology value in business terms.

  • Demonstrate the ability to translate complex technology capabilities into business, financial, and risk outcomes for enterprise customers.

  • Forecast sales performance, manage sales expenses effectively, and ensure successful closure of new Oracle business.

  • Serve as the focal point for clients for all sales-related issues, ensuring high client satisfaction and long-term relationship development.

  • Travel may be required to meet client needs and develop business in the target territory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • 8 years of applicable work experience, including 7 years of technology sales experience.

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales objectives and achieving territory/account development goals.

  • Strong business development, prospecting, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to forecast sales, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business.

  • Knowledge of Oracle products and/or Oracle's competitors.

  • Deep interpersonal connections within the Taiwanese manufacturing enterprise.

  • Highly diligent, able to elaborate on sales deal details, and possess strong sales capabilities.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior software sales background is preferred.

  • Capacity to withstand pressure, manage setbacks, and persist in challenging business development contexts.

  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.

  • Capacity to analyze challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in client and business contexts

  • Clarity, persuasiveness, and professionalism in client presentations, negotiations, and written communications.

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, adapt to evolving industries, and adjust strategies.
