Role Summary
As a Sustaining Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the continued success of high-volume consumer electronic products after mass production launch. You will drive mechanical optimization, cost reduction, derivative product development, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires strong ownership, collaborative spirit, and the ability to improve product quality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness using rigorous engineering methods.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Optimization Analyze, optimize, and implement improvements to mechanical costs in mass production, actively championing cost reduction projects.

Products Quality Issue Support Address and resolve products quality issues in manufacturing, utilizing scientific approaches to continually improve design for manufacturing, performance, quality, and cost.

Problem Analysis & Verification Use advanced analysis tools to assess, document, and test mechanical parts and assemblies, identifying critical areas for improvement.

Derivative Product Development & Compliance Label Management Lead or support the development of derivative products; design and update compliance labels as required.

Supplier Management & Selection Participate in supplier design reviews, support alternative supplier development and qualification, and update mechanical specifications as needed.

New Material Introduction and Process Validation
Promote and validate the adoption of sustainable/low-carbon materials (such as PCR plastics and metals) in production.
Participate in the validation and functional testing of new materials,switches, and other mechanical innovations.

Manufacturing Support & Optimization Collaborate with manufacturing teams and suppliers to refine mechanical designs for volume production requirements.

Global Collaboration & Project Support Work closely with global cross-functional teams to support supply chain transfers.
