We are the Windows Experiences team. Our team is focused on ensuring that Windows users at home, work, and school find it easy to discover and engage with the experiences they need most and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) are excited to build Windows experiences because they can innovate, differentiate, and exceed their business goals on Windows.
Responsibilities
You will be a member of a growing Windows Experiences engineering team that puts user and ISV requirements first in order to build a quality, reliable, and accessible native app experience that runs on hundreds of millions of devices.
Craft highly interactive User Interface based on high fidelity designs
Plan, design, develop, test and deliver consumer facing features end to end in collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers across multiple teams in different continents
Follow best practices and improve the fundamentals of the Windows codebase
Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders
Incorporate cutting-edge AI features into the UI to improve functionality and user engagement
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of software engineering experience
3+ years of professional development experience in modern C++ (C++11 and above) or Rust or C#
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges
Strong problem solving and debugging skills
Effective communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the latest AI (LLM) technologies.
Familiarity with Windows development environments.
Fluency in async/parallel programming models.
Experience in architecting, building, and shipping high-scale products with engaging user-experience.
Familiarity with cloud technologies.
Other Requirements : Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
